CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)

The CITB Construction Skills Site Safety Plus scheme is a health and site safety training programme with courses addressing the needs of site managers, site supervisors, the site work force and subcontractorsWhilst this category includes most Site Safety Plus courses, there is a now a new dedicated section page with more CITB courses.

Site management training and safe site supervision is critical to site safety and equally important is the level of safety awareness of the entire workforce on a construction site. Although this group of courses is often referred to generically simply as SMSTS Training, there are a number of Site Safety Plus training courses designed to provide the building, civil engineering and allied industries with a range of courses for individuals seeking to develop their skill sets. These SMSTS safety training courses are run through a network of CITB accredited Training Providers and provide comprehensive site management training that ensures all successful delegates are completely legal within their job roles onsite.

The CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) is the body which administers courses within the sector and training grants for the Site Safety Plus training courses are available to CITB levy payers.
