Introduction

The Display Screen Equipment (DSE) course has been designed for people who use display screen equipment for a significant part of their normal working day.

The DSE course will look at the health risks that can be caused by spending extended periods of time using display equipment. We will look at and explain the responsibilities of the employer and employee under current legislation and provide guidance on how to undertake a DSE assessment and provide guidance on how to set up the workstation correctly to avoid stress and strain on DSE users.

It will also explain the correct posture to adopt when working with DSE to minimise potential health risks and how to put measures in place to reduce to risks to the user.
