EUSR SHEA Power – Safety Health Environmental Awareness (Power)
Introduction
The EUSR SHEA Power Awareness is to provide on-site evidence that an individual has demonstrated an appropriate level of knowledge and awareness. It is a passport scheme and does not indicate any level of technical competence or skilled expertise.
Group Size
This is set at a maximum of 12 participants by the Awarding Body EUSR, to ensure each individual has sufficient opportunity to ask questions and receive appropriate trainer input and attention.
Who this course is for:
All persons working in the Power Industry and associated services.
Course aim:
To provide on-site evidence that an individual has demonstrated an appropriate level of knowledge and awareness. It is a passport scheme and does not indicate any level of technical competence or skilled expertise.
A 1 day training course providing a uniform approach to health, safety and environmental awareness for all persons working in the power utilities industry or on related infrastructure.
What you'll learn:
The scheme consists of 8 modules covering the following core health, safety and environment content:
- Module 1: Power generation and distribution (Scheme specific module)
- Module 2: Understanding our workplace responsibilities
- Module 3: Understanding the effects of our work on the environment
- Module 4: Identifying and controlling risks
- Module 5: Common hazards in the workplace
- Module 6: Occupational health hazards
- Module 7: Power industry hazards (Scheme specific module)
- Module 8: Responding to emergencies
Certification:
Successful learners will receive an EUSR SHEA card within 28 days
