The EUSR SHEA Power Awareness is to provide on-site evidence that an individual has demonstrated an appropriate level of knowledge and awareness. It is a passport scheme and does not indicate any level of technical competence or skilled expertise.
Group Size
This is set at a maximum of 12 participants by the Awarding Body EUSR, to ensure each individual has sufficient opportunity to ask questions and receive appropriate trainer input and attention.
Course Content
The scheme consists of 8 modules covering the following core health, safety and environment content:
Module 1: Power generation and distribution (Scheme specific module)
Module 2: Understanding our workplace responsibilities
Module 3: Understanding the effects of our work on the environment
Module 4: Identifying and controlling risks
Module 5: Common hazards in the workplace
Module 6: Occupational health hazards
Module 7: Power industry hazards (Scheme specific module)
Module 8: Responding to emergencies
Aim

A 1 day training course providing a uniform approach to health, safety and environmental awareness for all persons working in the power utilities industry or on related infrastructure.
Participants
All persons working in the Power Industry and associated services.
Certification
Successful learners will receive an EUSR SHEA card within 28 days
