This course is aimed at individuals or companies requiring the knowledge and experience to test using VLF Cable testers.
Delivery
Training is conducted face-to-face in a training environment.
Learning is balanced between guidance documents and hands on testing using vlf test sets is included in the training to ensure knowledge and skills can be safely applied to workplace situations.
The importance of safety is emphasised throughout the training, and understanding the test results.

Aim
On successful completion of this training, participants will be able to:
*Gain an awareness of regulatory, industry and network operator requirements for the VLF testing of underground power cables
*Identify hazards associated with the VLF testing of underground power cables
*Describe the characteristics and operation of VLF testing equipment
*Explain the principles and procedures for VLF testing
*Demonstrate the testing of underground power cables using VLF testing
Participants
To benefit from this course participants must hold an electrical, cable jointer or electrical overhead lineworker
qualification. Whilst being able to demonstrate a safe and professional attitude to electrical safety.
You will be required to bring your own ppe with you for this course.
Certification
Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will receive a certificate of competence
