LV System Linking, Fusing Course

The course is designed to ensure operatives understand good workplace practices and procedures for accessing and operating inside link boxes

Candidates who attend this course will be required to bring with them suitable ppe and equipment.

 

 

Course Content

Introduction to risk assessments and method statements

Identify legislative and company specific safety requirements

Recognise common plant used on lv networks

Introduction to basic protection of lv networks and grading of lv boards with the HV Transformer protection

Insertion and removal of lv fuses

Insertion and removal of lv links

Demonstrate testing of lv cables and terminations

Aim

To enable candidates to operate lv networks, using links, fuses and to introduce them to good industry practices

Participants

Competent lv cable jointers, linespersons or technicians

Certification

A certificate of attendance shall be issued
